1. Payments & Personal Data

We do not store your credit card information. All payments are processed securely by our Merchant of Record, Paddle.

When you make a purchase, Paddle may collect personal data (such as your address for tax purposes) to fulfill the transaction. Please refer to Paddle's Privacy Policy.

2. API Keys & Security

Your privacy and security are our top priority. We do not store your OpenRouter API Key on our servers.

• Your API Key is sent directly from your browser to the OpenRouter API.
• If you choose to use the "Remember Key" feature, your key is stored locally on your device using localStorage.
• You can remove this key at any time by clearing your browser cache or unchecking the "Remember Key" option.

3. Data & AI Training

• We do not use your data for AI training. Any prompts or results you save are strictly for your own use and history.
• Prompts & Results: We store your prompts, system instructions, and AI-generated outputs only when you click the "Save" button.
• Account Information: We store basic profile information (email, display name, avatar) provided by Google Auth for authentication purposes.

4. Third-Party AI Providers

UsePrompt acts as a gateway to various AI models via OpenRouter. While we do not use your data for training, we cannot guarantee how OpenRouter or specific model providers (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Google) handle your data.

We strongly recommend reviewing the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service of:

• The specific model provider you choose to use.

5. Cookies & Analytics

We use cookies primarily for authentication to keep you logged in.

We also use Google Analytics (via Chrome/Firebase) to understand how our service is used. This may involve the use of third-party cookies or identifiers (like measurementId) to track session duration and page views. This data is anonymized and used solely to improve the UsePrompt experience.

We retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your information to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.
